Hello friends and welcome to day 8 of my Paleo/Krav Maga challenge! My family and I just got back from Sacramento where we were celebrating my brother in law and witnessing his college graduation (YAY ZACH!!).
Anyway. I'd like to start off by saying that I am a HUGE snacker. I like to grab handfuls of things and I hate preparing meals for one and sitting alone at a table while eating said meal. Now my snacks are usually healthy. Fruit, nuts, seeds, that kind of thing. BUT when I am not in my own house, I am forced instead to eat meals and there is very little snacking for me. This was the case this weekend. I tried to make good conscious decisions with my Paleo diet in mind but because I was a guest at someone else's home and on the move all the time, it was exhausting trying to stick to it while getting enough calories to support myself and my 7 month old little girl who is almost exclusively breastfed. And so because of our little vacation, I missed two Krav Maga classes AND totally cheated on the Paleo thing. The first non Paleo thing I ate was a sandwich from a place in downtown Sacramento called Dads. Looking back, I probably could have ordered it protein style but I have no regrets. That was the best sandwich I've had in a long time. The next day was graduation day for my brother in law and we had a huge movie themed party for him including popcorn, candy, nachos, and pizza. I'm pretty sure there were ZERO Paleo options and because I think stomach growling at parties is rude... I ate pizza. That all being said, I am SO looking forward to my fitness class tomorrow and eating clean once again.
Today I ran around like a chicken with its head cut off and finished two hazy projects. One, a 24x36 canvas painting for a wedding present. And two, a baby shower invitation suite.
