Today, on day THREE of my Paleo/Krav Maga challenge, I woke up and ate scrambled eggs and a banana! I guess I was feeling yellow.
Side note: As a stay at home mother of two, it's my responsibility to pick out clothes for my children in the morning. Sometimes they get dressed first, sometimes I do but I always notice a pattern: If they're wearing blue, I am wearing a shade of blue. If I'm in all black, they're wearing dark colors, too. Does this happen to anyone else?! It happens all the time and it's always on accident!!
Anyway. After breakfast I dropped Paxton off at school and watched him do the daily morning activity (sometimes it's dancing, sometimes it's yoga, sometimes it's some other kind of work out) and then stayed to volunteer a couple hours of my time to the kids in Paxton's class. It's a top secret thing we are doing but since I am fairly certain his teacher doesn't read my blog, I'll let you in on the secret: we are making his teacher a book. The book will have photos of each student and a sentence or two explaining why they're thankful for her. Some students wrote "thanks for teaching me about Antarctica" or I'm a kopp kid because I'm curious and kind" that kind of thing. Which got me thinking what people would say to you if they knew you were leaving and would never see you again.
Dear Gaby, Screw you. I hope you get hit by a car. Love, Annabel (I chose this name because I don't know anyone named Annabel.)
Now I doubt anyone would write that to me... I try to be kind and respectful to everyone I meet. Including random people who call my phone, homeless people, and people who don't share my same beliefs in religion or politics (which is hard). But really, you never know!
What would people say about you?
My second night of Krav Maga fitness class is tonight. I don't know how I am going to survive it being that I am so sore. Wish me luck!
