Monday morning I woke up and had nothing in my fridge. I really hate grocery shopping which means as the fridge empties, the meals have to get more and more creative. My husband is a lot better at this than me so I usually end up driving through Del Taco at times like these. Anyway, we had enough milk and cereal that Paxton could eat but since I vowed to take this Paleo thing seriously- I was SOL. In an hour I would be dropping Paxton off at school and I'd be on my merry way to the grocery store, so I figured I could wait to eat until then. Unfortunately as we stepped out to the car, I realized that I had put my keys in Emma's diaper bag which was locked in the backseat of my car. After 10 or so minutes trying to break into my own car with a wire hanger, I gave up and called my insurance company to send someone out. Paxton was 30 minutes late to school and I was reminded again at how bad I am at "adulting" sometimes. By the time I rolled into Sprouts, my stomach was screaming at me and although there is that rule about not shopping while hungry, I actually got out of there with only Paleo friendly foods on the conveyer belt (WIN!).
Heres what I bought:
And here is what saved my screaming stomach:
And here are the other snacks I ate before dinner:
And for dinner I found a really yummy recipe for blackened tilapia with an avocado cucumber salsa that was just what the doctor ordered. Or trainer in my case🙃
After dinner I went to my first class at the MMA Academy for my 6 week Krav Maga challenge! After being weighed (111.6lbs.) and measured (I can't remember that many numbers) we jogged, sprinted, bear crawled, jumped, punched, did sit ups, squats, lunges, and push ups. And guess what?! I get to do it 3 times a week every week for 6 weeks!
What's my goal, you ask? Well it's NOT losing weight or being "skinny". I'd really like to just gain muscle and enjoy being active again. Oh and if I got a bigger butt, I wouldn't mind that. Here are some before photos (try to look past the bags under my eyes; I have a 6 month old, after all):
Please pray that I can avoid the chocolate chip cookie dough in the freezer. Until next time!
